Super Bowl LIII will be held Feb. 3, 2019, at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Taste of the NFL (TNFL) is partnering with some of the nation’s top chefs in the season-long Kick Hunger Challenge, and each Friday, we’ll be publishing some of those chefs’ favorite tailgating and game-day-fare recipes. TNFL has raised and donated in excess of $26 million to food banks and nonprofit organizations in the 32 NFL cities, resulting in more than 220 million new meals for Americans in need. For every TNFL initiative, 100% of the proceeds generated goes directly back to local communities. For more information or to donate to your favorite team/city visit:www.kickhungerchallenge.com.

    Alex Guarnaschelli,
executive chef of Butter, judge on “Chopped,” defending champion on “Iron Chef Gauntlet” and host of Food Network’s online series, “Fix Me a Plate,” is partnering with Taste of the NFL to raise awareness and funds via the season-long Kick Hunger Challenge and sharing his recipe for Sausage and Cheese Stuffed Pretzel Rolls.

Watching my daughter cook some strips of smoky, thick cut bacon. I’m almost alarmed by how happy and focused she is. She looks like a young cook. Cracking eggs into a bowl. Rummaging around for some bread. She reminds me to stay connected to the joy of cooking.
