The Auberge of the Flowering Hearth
By: Roy Andries de Groot
This Auberge of the Flowering Hearth by Roy Andries de Groot this is a classic and so old school. It hearkens back to times when I would sit reading Jane Grigson or MFK Fisher. It’s like a discourse on French food, the origin of great foods, the drinks. It reads somewhere between a cookbook and a daydream. More importantly, for me it’s one of the books that has become like a mission statement to me on what I live about food. It keeps the romance fresh!
