Pulpo: A Venetian Cookbook of Sorts
by Russell Norman
This book has the power to transport me straight to the scene of these recipes. I close my eyes and imagine those ingredients, so fresh, being combined simply in these recipes. There are some really clever and interesting touches. I wanted to make about 30 recipes the first time I read through the cookbook. The food is rustic and feels very real but it also has a very modern sensibility without being overcrowded with ingredients. Check it out.
