About the event: The Seventh Annual Pig Island returns this September. Featuring 25+ chefs creating the freshest and funkiest dishes from locally sourced hogs. Previous years’ dishes included glazed pork belly and peach on cold ramen, wood smoked pork pizza, pig head tacos, roasted pork sliders, crispy pig ear lettuce wraps and bacon banana bread with caramelized bacon. Keeping the focus on local, Pig Island also features a selection of New York State craft beer from Sixpoint and others, wine, artisan spirits and ciders all included in one general admission price. The Seventh Annual Pig Island benefits local farms, celebrates both award-winning and up-and-coming chefs, and great outdoor grilling.

Share a Second Helping of Life

The funds raised by A Second Helping of Life enable SHARE to provide free support services and education programs to thousands of women and their families. For four decades, SHARE has provided dedicated, experienced support, and in the last year alone, we touched 40,000 people with our programs. Alex’s Lemonade Stand: Lemon NYC 2016

About the event: Lemon: NYC is a memorable and exclusive culinary event benefitting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and the fight against childhood cancer. The event will be hosted by Chef Alex Guarnaschelli of the Food Network and Butter Restaurant. Lemon: NYC brings together over 20 superstar chefs under one roof to prepare their signature dishes for a limited number of guests. Located in the Metropolitan Pavilion in the heart of Chelsea, guests have the opportunity to try innovative tasting plates prepared by top chefs from across the country. In addition to the delicious food and fabulous auctions, Liz & Jay Scott, parents of founder Alexandra “Alex” Scott, will share the story of how Alex and her lemonade stands inspired a national fundraising movement leading to innovative childhood cancer research. Since it started, Lemon:NYC has helped to raise well over $1 million to help fight childhood cancer.  A huge thank you goes out to the chefs and attendees that have made this possible!

Desert Trip: Coacella Concert Dinners in Northern California

About the event: We’re bringing your favorite culinary competition to life with a special Rooftop Chopped Event. Food Network’s Chopped is taking over Pier 92 for a larger-than-life version of the popular competitive cooking series, complete with all your favorite Chopped cast members including Ted Allen, Scott Conant, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marc Murphy, Marcus Samuelsson, Geoffrey Zakarian and more! About the event: A Spectacular Celebration of Global Cuisines, Music & More. The International Food and Wine Festival will play host to seminars, tasting events and sumptuous dinners overseen by top Disney Chefs as well as renowned guest Chefs. “What’s Cookin’ With…” features some of the country’s top celebrity chefs will begin the morning with a delightful plated brunch and sparkling wine toast. The fun starts with a demo, and the chefs answer questions from the audience and share secrets of their successes. The brunch is on select Fridays and Sundays at 10 a.m.
